Ecclesiastical Lettering

As part of my "Found Type" project at UWE, we had to design a font for a theme that we chose. I chose Ornate. I was particularly drawn to this theme due to its relations with Biblical manuscripts and the architecture within Churches. I ended up combining the manuscript like lettering with features of Churches. I realised that this combination creates a great contrast between thick and thin, straight and curves. I found it difficult to create curves on font struct, but I rose to the challenge and created this. I hope you enjoy! -
