This typeface was inspired by stained glass, I was fascinated by the patterns, both symmetrical and not, found in stained glass windows, and the frequent nature designs featured in them too. The name ‘vitrail’, meaning ‘stained glass’ in French, was picked because of the simplistic feel to it, reflecting the simple yet beautiful nature of the patterns in stained glass.
