The glyph have a exact copy slighly elevated and to the right of its original which I then connected with eachother to create the box-like three-dimensional idea.

Because of some serious design difficulties it remains far from complete, but I am kind of done with it for now due to this. For now only support for uppercase, no numerals and very limited punctuations. I think I fully kerned it, or at least everything that is important. On last thing I need to mention, the smallest open spaces doesn't allow this font to work in very small size. These will look filled at smaller point size.

I'm not sure if I will ever try another attempt to finish it at a later stage. (who will tell..) ;)

But I think what I've got so far is too cool for not publishing it. So for now it would do just fine as a logotype or for a decorative usage but not much else.

Enjoy!

With the same aim to capture the movement upon which the letters are distributed around the page caused by dyslexia. A feature common amongst dyslexics, that causes difficulty and uncertainty when trying to make out written words. In developing the typeface I aimed to increase legibility, to make it more universal. Whilst continuing to capture the context of why I initially created the typeface. Representing this by combining the same letter form twice, and overlayingthem in order to capture the aspect of movement. This time all in captials to help with legibility.

When I first thought of the word ‘continuous’ I saw never ending lines and continuous loops between letters. As it was my first typeface I have created using fontstruct I decided to go with a simplistic approach by creating my typeface to be square and blocky. I began by creating a 3D word out of paper using this typeface and photographing it with the use of directional lighting to create a shadow. It was from this I got the idea of duplicating each letter and placing it above the original at a slant to resemble the shadow from the photograph I had taken. I was still able to keep with my theme of continuous by connecting both letters in a continuous loop.

A simple experimental display typeface based upon the theme of repetition and continuity created for my course at UWE. I drew inspiration from the literal idea of repetitive geometry and patterns. (Due to the limitations of fontstruct some manual spacing may be needed when being used.)
